This is me.  Sweepingly dreaming of the little perfect moments that set my heart aflutter, surrounded by the light of the sun, and the colors of the earth.

For the last 10 years, I’ve honed in on doing only the things that bring me joy and in doing that, I’ve found a home in photographing the love we share with one another and the things that make each of us a unique soul on this massive place we call earth.

I have found that being in front of the camera helped me heal from years of being told I was physically not good enough. To me, being photographed is the biggest compliment, and I want nothing more than to shower you with love and praise, because YOU are good enough to be in front of MY camera. Your experience with me will be nothing short of an abundance of joy and laughter, as the best moments of life should be!

ABOUT THE LOGO:

As a child, I was very eager to learn about all the things that made my heritage unique. I took a particular liking to the Native American culture, in particular, the concept of how dream catchers steal away bad dreams. I’ve always been a dreamer (I was literally obsessed with the word as a child!), so I often had a dream catcher in some aspect of my life. As a person, I am very free spirited and move with the ebbs and flows of life. The feathers on the dream catcher are not stagnant, rather they look as though they are blowing in the wind. I’ve always found that concept very beautiful.

The dream catcher as my logo represents my interest in dark art (peep the abandoned section in my portfolio). I literally capture darkness with my lens, which is why the aperture is in the middle. This is a form of art for me, but obviously is not my sole focus. I’m a very bright and colorful person, so I edit as such. My photos do not have a blanket filter – instead I edit for the photo rather than for a theme. The color splash not only represents my editing style, but my personality as well.

Lastly, the dream catcher features strands of film. I learned digital photography on a film camera. In art school, we were required to learn film before we were allowed to take a digital class. I LOVE the idea that a roll of film only allows a certain number of photos to be taken, so each one has to be taken with precise measure. It prevents the strain of overshooting, and therefore, less stress when choosing photos!

P.S. In case you are wondering why I have 2 Instagram links, it’s because I have 2 pages! One is for my client work, and one is for my artwork! Check them both out! You won’t regret it! :)
